Vote YES on Measure 101

Vote YES on Measure 101

Health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Access to quality health care is necessary for all people to reach their fullest potential. Our health shouldn’t depend on who we are, where we live or how much money we make.

Many women are deeply affected by a lack of access to health care. Despite the fact that women make about 80 percent of the healthcare decisions in their families, they often face many barriers to accessing the doctor visits and the prescriptions they need. Until recently, they were often charged much higher rates for insurance coverage just because they are women, and they were often denied coverage because of “pre-existing conditions” like diabetes or even being a survivor of domestic violence.

Measure 101 protects health care for our most vulnerable Oregonians — especially women. No one should have to face bankruptcy or serious illness just because they can’t afford care.

When women have access to reproductive health care, they can better plan and space their pregnancies, which enhances their lives and those of their families. In addition, women are disproportionately impacted by several life-threatening diseases:

Fortunately, preventive screenings can detect these cancers. Early detection and treatment saves lives.

When women are healthier, families are healthier. When families are healthier, communities are healthier. When communities are healthier, Oregon is healthier.

On January 23rd, please join us in voting YES for women, YES for families, YES for health care and YES for Measure 101.

Planned Parenthood Leaders in Oregon Condemn Kavanaugh Confirmation

Wade if confirmed, allegations of sexual assault, questions about the honesty of his answers to questions under oath and serious concerns about his ability to be impartial and unbiased on the highest court of the land.

Today’s vote followed misleading and deeply ...
